Contemporary Nordic Graphic Art – The Queen Sonja Print Award, Waldemarsudde, Stockholm 1.10 – 17.1 2015
In 2012, HRH Queen Sonja of Norway, in collaboration with artists Kjell Nupen and Örnulf Opdahl, founded the Print Award. Thirteen Nordic artists were nominated for the prize in 2014 and the winner, Svend-Allan Sørensen, was announced in Oslo on may 27. In autumn, a selection of works by the winner, the nominees and last year´s winner Tiina Kivinen, will be shown together with works by the founders of the award.
Daniel Milan and Svend-Allan Sørensen from Denmark; Annu Vertanen, Tuula Lehtinen, Vappu Johansson and Elina Sipilä from Finland; Mikael Kihlman and Minako Masui from Sweden; Valgerdur Hauksdóttir and Hugleikur Dagsson from Island, Cathrine Dahl & Ørjan Aas and Ane Mette Hol from Norway.
